Magneti Marelli opens new plant in Shanghai

Magneti Marelli has opened its new headquarters in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, marking the 20th anniversary of its presence in China. The plant is being extended on the premises of the previous one and will host the commercial activities (Powertrain, Automotive Lighting, Downloading Systems, Suspensions and After-Sales) and an important R & D centre (Powertrain and Automotive Lighting). The plant will employ about 550 people by the end of 2016, and will offer jobs to about 700 people by 2018. Magneti Marelli’s new research and development centre represents one of the major innovation hubs, with an important impact on environmental protection, its technologies linked to “new energy vehicles”, and efficency boosting procedures on traditional vehicles.
Moldova: Serenissima achieves road requalification contract

An Italian-Bulgarian joint venture, led by Serenissima Costruzioni S.p.A. A4 Holding, has been awarded two contracts for the rehabilitation of two main roads in Moldova. The JV will focus on projects supported by EBRD funds, for the rehabilitation of the R9 Soroca-Arionesati road in northern Moldova (accounting for approximately 17 million euros) and of Plots 1 and 2 of R34 Hinchesti-Leova-Cahul, in the central and southern regions bordering with Romania (accounting for 54 million euros).
