The “Sardinia – Land of Towers” exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of the University of Zurich is intended to spread knowledge about Sardinia and its Nuragic culture among the Swiss, who are frequent visitors to this Italian island. The exhibition includes 800 bronze, stone and ceramic objects, mostly from Sardinian museums, and from their stores, the result of recent finds during excavations on the island and never displayed before.
On its first overseas stop after visiting Cagliari, Rome and Milan, the exhibition will introduce the Swiss to Nuragic culture and the cultural landscape of Sardinia, one of the favourite destinations of Swiss tourists. The show, which runs until 25th September, is organised by the Archaeological Museum of the University of Zurich and the Federation of Sardinian Societies in Switzerland, with the cooperation of the Italian Institute of Culture in Zurich.
