The exhibition “4 Projects for Development”, highlighting Italy’s commitment for development cooperation, opened in Jakarta. The event was organised by the Italian embassy in the Indonesian capital with the Italian Cultural Institute and Agenzia Contrasto. Development projects are an essential component of Italy’s foreign policy. The exhibition, which will run until the end of the year at the Italian Cultural Institute, features photos taken in 2015 by four well-known photographers from Agenzia Contrasto: Magnum Abbas, Jerome Sessini, Jean Gaumy and Stuart Franklin. The exhibition itinerary envisages an agribusinesses project in Oramia, Ethiopia, a project to improve coffee production and support small producers in Guatemala, an irrigation development programme in Kenya and a project to support women’s education and empowerment in Senegal to favour an inclusive local development.
