Athens – “Naos”: Synergy of Art presents music and dance in a Greek temple

The temple of Aphaia on the Greek island of Aigina, south-east of the Acropolis in Athens, will come alive with dance and music on 18 August. Synergy of Art presents”Naos”, organised with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Athens and featuring  Silvia Macchi, Anne Kern, Andreas  Kanellopoulos, Cristina Varotsos, Filippos Koutsaftsis, Dimitris  Kountas, Kleio Karambelia (Clio K.), Dimitris Pantelias, Alexandros  Papanastasatos and Magdalini Papanikolopoulou. Silvia Macchi established Synergy of Art in 2001 to explore human movement beyond classic and modernn styles. Her shows focuses on an awareness process of the human body  – a holistic approach to the human body and its ability to express itself. Today we are at a turning point in the history of Greece and the world as a whole and this is why Synergy of Art wants to bring back to life long-forgotten memories, closely linked with values that only existed in ancient civilisations. It is only natural that shows like ‘Naos’ need to be staged with a backdrop of archaelogical and historical venues.
