This year too Italy will be at the Fête de la BD, Brussel’s comic book festival. For the 2016 edition, which will run at the Parc de Bruxelles from 2 to 4 September, the Italian Cultural Institute in the Belgian capital, in partnership with Lucca Comics & Games and with the cooperation of Piolalibri, will propose the second part of the exhibition “Quick Instructions”, dedicated to noir comics. The exhibition will display the work of ten contemporary artists and give access to a selection of books in order to show to the Belgian audience the comics that are famous in Italy but little known abroad. In addition, the Italian stand will present three star cartoonists: Mirka Andolfo, the author of the series “Sacro/Profano”, Riccardo Pieruccini, cartoonist and illustrator for several publishing companies, and Gigi Cavenago, the winner of the Gran Guinigi 2014 Award for best drawing. The three artists will take part in a live performance drawing inspiration from “Comic Battles”: a battle to the last cartoon, illustrating their good and bad experiences at the Fête de la BD.
