An interdisciplinary conference called “The Italian City – Urban Space and Representation” will be held in Bergen from 12 September to 14 September. The conference, organized by Marco Gargiulo, professor of Italian Linguistics at the University of Bergen Department of Foreign Languages, with the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo, will discuss the city, its linguistic, literary and film representation stimulating a debate on urban and social sciences. Lectures will be given by Nicoletta Maraschio, President of the Accademia della Crusca, Pietro Trifone, full professor of History of the Italian language at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Giulio Giovannoni, a researcher at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, Department of Architecture.
