Russian Federation – The Italian Cultural Institute spearheads European Day of Languages

What could be a better occasion than the European Day of Languages to highlight the great role played by the diplomatic network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in promoting the Italian language and Culture? On 24 September – the Day chosen for the celebration – the Italian Cultural Institue (IIC) in Saint Petersburg, in conjunction with the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture), will present its programme of activities for the “Discover your Europe at the Hermitage” Festival. At its stand, the IIC will provide visitors with material on its activities and on the events scheduled for the autumn, leaflets on Italian language courses in Saint Petersburg and in Italy, on the procedures to apply to Italian universities and on the Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language (CILS). During the European Day of Languages, the teachers of the Italian Language and Culture Centre will hold a lesson of Italian for beginners and another one on the Italian language in the cinema.
