The summer is waning and it’s almost time to go back to filling cinema theatres, possibly with a review of the last season’s best Italian films presented at the Hamburg “Cinema! Italia!” Italian Film Festival, now at its 19th edition. The six new releases chosen for this edition are dedicated to Italy and reflect the state of Italy’s film production: Latin Lover (2015) by Cristina Comencini; Lea (2015) by Marco Tullio Giordana; Non essere cattivo / Tu nichts Böses (2015) by Claudio Caligari; Per amor vostro / Aus Liebe zu euch (2015) by Giuseppe Gaudino; Se Dio vuole / Um Himmels willen (2015) by Edoardo Falcone; La stoffa dei sogni / Der Stoff der Träume (2016) by Gianfranco Cabiddu. The Festival will open on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. with the screening of the film “La stoffa dei sogni” (“The Stuff of Dreams”) with director Gianfranco Cabiddu as guest of honour.
