Czech Republic – “Prague for Central Italy” fundraiser

The Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Prague will hold a fundraiser for the victims of the recent earthquake in central Italy on Sept. 20 in connection with the “Echi italiani” (“Italian Echoes”) exhibition. “Pasta all’amatriciana” dishes will be served during the event as a tribute to the recipe’s hometown of Amatrice, which was largely destroyed by the quake. The “Prague for Central Italy” initiative is organised by the Italian Embassy in Prague, the IIC, the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Amici dell’Italia (Friends of Italy) Society. The proceeds will be entirely devolved to the Italian Civil Protection Department via the UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia account n. 2113483079/2700.

The “Italian Echoes” exhibition features works dedicated to Italy by Czech artists Miroslav Houst, Jiri Suhajek, Jan Brabenec, and Vladimir Mencl. It is organised by the Italian Embassy and IIC in Prague in conjunction with the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and will run until Oct. 1 this year
