Contemporary Art hosted at Casa Italia in Hanoi

A selection of the works of 19 contemporary Vietnamese artists will be exhibited at Casa Italia in Hanoi until 14 January. The exhibition, together with the presentation of a catalogue of photographs, is part of the AIA Vietnam Eye Project promoted by Vietnam Life Insurance Co Ltd (AIA), in cooperation with Parallel Contemporary Art and the Saatchi Gallery. The initiative at Casa Italia is sponsored by AIA and supported by the Vietnamese Government, the Italian Embassy in Vietnam and the British Ambassador to Hanoi.

AIA Vietnam Eye is a project that celebrates the vibrant contemporary art scene in the South-East Asian Country and it is the eighth project within the framework of the Global Eye Programme, launched in 2009 by David and Serenella Ciclitira in cooperation with the Saatchi Gallery to foster the development of artistic talents in the region.

Besides the main exhibition there will also be a series of satellite exhibitions in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City, where the works on display will be accompanied by workshops run by the artists.
