Uzbekistan: Turboden wins a tender for a waste heat recovery plant
The Italian company Turboden has won a tender for the supply of a plant producing electricity from the recovery of gas turbine waste heat in Uzbekistan. The tender was launched by the World Bank, with the Uztransgaz company as the end customer. The 5-million-euro plant is to be installed at the Khojaabad gas storage station in the Andijan region between January and April 2017. The tender is part of the broader initiative financed by the World Bank Uzbekistan Energy Efficiency Facility for Industrial Enterprises (UZEEF), whose main aim is to reduce energy consumption in industrial processes.
