The latest issue of “Atlantide”, the online journal of the Foundation for Subsidiarity, dedicated to “The keys to development. Cooperation under examination” was presented today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “I am glad that this new issue is being presented at the Ministry, because it provides an effective tool for analysing international cooperation and development aid, which can guide our action in dealing with global challenges”, said Minister Alfano.
The effectiveness of aid for developing countries has become even more topical now, given the current economic crisis and the explosion of migration. Atlantide analyses the associated issues and provides an overview of opinions and experiences gained in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
The presentation by the director general of Atlantide, Giorgio Paolucci, was followed by speeches by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, archbishop and under-secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, Silvano Tomasi, the deputy director of the Institute of International Affairs, Nathalie Tocci, the secretary general of AVSI, Giampaolo Silvestri, and the Director General for Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pietro Sebastiani.
