Alfano meets with the members of the BIC Consortium at the Farnesina: pooling into a supply chain is essential for the success of Italy’s economic diplomacy.
“Economic diplomacy is one of the priorities of my mandate at the Foreign Ministry and I am therefore always extremely interested and attentive to the overseas activities of important Italian companies, such as those of the members of the BIC Consortium. These are companies that, because of their size and shareholding structure, perform an activity that often goes beyond the mere economic value of the transaction and turns into a full-fledged political factor, especially in the Countries of primary interest for us, such as Iran and Mozambique,” said Minister Alfano at the end of a meeting at the Farnesina with the top officials of the BIC Consortium, which includes the Danieli Group, Techint, Ansaldo, Fincantieri and Termomeccanica.
