Czech Republic: Astaldi adjudicated a 110-million-euro contract for the construction of the D35 Motorway
Astaldi has been adjudicated a 110-million-euro contract for the construction of a section of the D35 Motorway between the cities of Opatovice and Casy, in the Czech Republic. The Italian group, in a consortium with Turkey’s IC Ictas Construction company, will be assigned a motorway section almost 13 Km long with two multilevel interchanges and a more than one-kilometre-long viaduct over the Elbe River. The Consortium’s proposal will have to be approved by the Czech Government’s Evaluation Committee in the upcoming few months, while the construction work is planned to begin in the spring of 2018. The D35 Motorway is a strategic infrastructure for the Czech Republic, as it connects the Country’s northern regions and will consequently relieve the traffic on the Prague-Brno axis.
