SME DAY: THE 8TH DAY DEDICATED TO ITALY’S SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES

SME Day – “Industriamoci”, an event that kicked off in 2010, has now come to its 8th edition. It is organised with the member Associations of Confindustria and aims to disseminate information on the production systems of Italian companies. It involves more than 1,000 companies and 41,000 professionals engaged in organising visits to companies and meetings with students and teachers of middle and secondary schools that are also open to officials of local administrations and journalists both in Italy and abroad: in addition to the Balkans, this year SME Day will also be held in Belgium and the United States.

In the United States, the initiative is promoted in synergy with the Miami Scientific Italian Community), the ISSNAF (Italian Scientists and Scholars of North America Foundation), the ODLI (Organization for the Development of Italian Studies), the SVIEC (Silicon Valley Italian Executive Council) the Orgoglio Brescia Consortium, and with the Italian Embassy in Washington and the Italian Consulate General in Miami. Through this network, more than 50 Italian companies based in the United States will meet approximately 1,100 students to illustrate the points of excellence of the Made in Italy production system.
