Young Italian diplomats begin a period of joint training with their Palestinian colleagues

Cooperation between States is also grounded on the training of officials:  today, 32 young Italian diplomats who won the state competition of 2017, will begin a period of joint training with their Palestinian colleagues in Caserta.

This initiative is part of Italy’s reinforced commitment to support Palestinian institutions, as agreed by foreign ministers Angelino Alfano and Riad Malki at the Rome meeting of the Italy-Palestine Joint Ministerial Committee of last 9 November.

This innovative training activity is the fruit of the cooperation between the Italian Foreign Ministry, the National School of Administration (SNA) and the Training Centre of the Public Administrations of the Countries in the areas of the Middle East and the Mediterranean, and has been held in Caserta since 2012 thanks to the partnership between the SNA and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (MENA-OECD governance programme centre).
