The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, is in Brussels to attend the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers.
Upon the invitation of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, the minister will attend a working lunch with US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, at the Justus Lipsius building. A family photo is scheduled before the lunch, at 12:50 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., Minister Alfano will go to the NATO Headquarters where, at his arrival, he will meet with Italian journalists. The meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of Foreign Ministers, which is dedicated to NATO-EU cooperation, is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
The meeting will be followed by the ceremony to present the logo of the next NATO Summit of 2018 at 6:05 p.m., along with the traditional family photo. At 6:40 p.m., Minister Alfano will meet Italian journalists in a national press point in the Press Theatre.
On Wednesday, 6 December, the day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the NATO-Georgia Commission. On the fringes of the meeting, at 10:30 a.m., Minister Alfano will have bilateral talks with Georgian Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze. The second working session of the NATO Foreign Ministers meeting will open at 11:00 a.m., at the conclusion of which, before leaving the Belgian capital, Minister Alfano will meet with Italian journalists for a brief press point.
