The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, is in Paris today to participate in the Conference of the International Partnership against Impunity for the Use of Chemical Weapons. The Conference, which will be attended by 33 like-minded countries (including G7 Member States, the major European countries, India, South Korea, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait), aims to reaffirm the condemnation of the use of chemical weapons, support international mechanisms designed to prevent and verify responsibilities, and promote a fruitful exchange of information on such criminal behaviours.
