8 March: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened an information desk on the prevention of cancer in women

For International Women’s Day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened an information desk where the doctors of the ASL Roma 1 Health Centre offered guidance on preventing cancer in women. The Ministry’s Secretary-General, Elisabetta Belloni, inaugurated the help desk underscoring that it is a tangible initiative offered to all the women working in the Ministry. At the desk, information sheets were handed out illustrating the different screening options offered free of charge by the regional health care system. The initiative was organised by the Central Guarantee Committee and the Social Affairs Office of the Foreign Ministry, with the support of the association of women diplomats.
