Minister Alfano in Brussels and Paris

Alfano will be in Brussels tomorrow to discuss the future of Syria and in Paris on 26 April to attend the international conference on combating the financing of terrorism.

The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, will be engaged in two days of meetings at multilateral level.

Minister Alfano will be in Brussels tomorrow to attend the ministerial conference on Syria entitled “Supporting the future of Syria and the Region”.

The conference represents a milestone in the process to reinforce the projection of the EU’s policy on the Syrian theatre and has a dual purpose of forum of political debate and conference of donors, and schedules three separate sessions: political, regional and humanitarian. The meeting, which is organised around three plenary sessions, will open at 9:00 a.m. at the Europa Building and will close at 6:00 p.m.

On the following day, Italy’s chief diplomat will travel to Paris to attend the Ministerial Conference on Combating the Financing of Terrorism, to be held on the premises of the OECD from 10:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
