Serbia. Moavero Milanesi: “Excellent relations at all levels”

“The friendship between Italy and Serbia is deep and dates back a long time. We have excellent relations at all levels,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, as he greeted the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, at a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Central European Initiative (CEI) in Split.“Italy is Serbia’s second biggest trading partner, and the biggest investor in that market,” said Moavero Milanesi, repeating Italy’s wish to further boost the strategic bilateral partnership.

The talks revolved around European issues, including: Serbia’s accession to the EU, which the Italian Minister “strongly supports, appreciating Serbia’s determination and commitment to joining the European Union”; and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, “crucial for the stability of the Western Balkans”.
