At the request of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, on 25 November, the Farnesina Building was flooded by orange light for the first time to celebrate the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The initiative forms part of the United Nations’ international awareness-raising campaign “UN Women”:“Orange the World”, which is in fact characterised by the colour orange.
The Italian Foreign Ministry will take active part in this international campaign also through the Websites and social media accounts of its diplomatic and consular network from 25 November to 10 December, the United Nations’ “International Human Rights Day”.
