Sparkle, a TIM Group company which provides international services and is ranked among the top ten global operators, announced that it signed a partnership with Internet.ONE, an Italian-Swiss service provider that operates in the broadband and cloud computing market. The partnership is meant to supply international capacity to support the ONE.vision automated shooting system dedicated to the motorsport sector. The system has already been tested at the main European racetracks and at the Italian Grand Prix.
Thanks to a video camera system using fuzzy logic, but also to telemetry and a sophisticated AI system, ONE.vision allows for the simultaneous filming, from different angles, of dozens of cars/motorcycles on the track, thus providing a fundamental aid for the race manager. The system also makes available to each racer a customized production system capable of managing internal and external filming with 360 ° camera cars and to live-stream the driving experience with video quality of up to 8K, usable for TV productions, live streaming and social media.
As regards data flow management, the system counts on the Cloud infrastructure of Internet.ONE and uses Sparkle’s European fiber optic network to deliver the 100G video signal, thus allowing thousands of users in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom to watch live programs through the City2City service.
