To celebrate the Open Government Week, the Italian Consulate in Western Australia opened its doors to 30 Italian language students aged 15 and 16 of Perth Modern School. They were given an opportunity to visit the premises of the Italian Consulate and understand the activities it carries out with special reference to the wide range of services it provides to the public.
The students were also able to practice oral comprehension in Italian. They were shown an informative video, which the Consulate developed with a view to briefly illustrate the current political, economic and cultural relations between Italy and Australia. The Consulate’s trade promotion activities were also discussed. Finally the students were able to have a first-hand experience of interactions with the public.
