Today, at the Foreign Ministry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, received the Ambassador in Rome of the People’s Republic of China, Li Junhua.
During the very cordial meeting, the Chinese Ambassador thanked the Italian Government for the care provided to the Chinese patients affected by the coronavirus. Minister Di Maio, underlining the excellent relations between Rome and Beijing, pledged Italy’s full support to China, both bilaterally and at EU level, to tackle the emergency.
Minister Di Maio also thanked Ambassador Li Junhua for the collaboration by the Chinese Authorities in the repatriation of the Italian nationals from Wuhan and the surrounding towns.
