TUNISIA – Ansaldo Energia completes a 600 MW gas turbine power plant in Mornaguia, ahead of schedule.
Ansaldo Energia has successfully completed the final stages of construction and commissioning of the Mornaguia gas-fired power plant in Tunisia ahead of schedule, to the great satisfaction of the Tunisian Government and client STEG for the company’s commitment, which, despite the difficulties linked to Covid-19, managed to reach the plant’s full production capacity of 600MW, in time for the peak in summer consumption.
The order, worth around 250 million euros for the construction of a 600 MW power plant powered by two gas turbines, was awarded to Ansaldo in 2018.
