EUROPEAN COMMISSION – VIDEOCONFERENCING ON “THE ROAD TO RECOVERY: ENABLING SMALL BUSINESSES TO TRADE INTERNATIONALLY”
The European Commission has organised a videoconference on 13 October entitled “The road to recovery: enabling small businesses to trade internationally”, an initiative specifically designed for SMEs and their problems in trade with non-EU countries, both in terms of barriers to market access and new opportunities for exports under EU agreements and arrangements.
In particular, the new “Access2Markets” portal will be presented. Companies, starting from small and medium sized ones, will be able to find fast, clear, and detailed information on the trade rules in force between the EU and third countries, including references to rules regarding origin.
The conference will be opened by Executive Vice-President and Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovkis, followed by a speech by the new Chief Trade Enforcement Officer Denis Redonnet, a position recently created in the Commission’s DG TRADE to monitor aspects of the implementation of EU trade agreements with third countries.
