BRAZIL – Enel X wins two public lighting services concession tenders
A consortium formed by the companies Enel X Brazil, Mobit and Selt Ingegneria has been awarded the contract for the provision of public lighting services in the city of Macapá, capital of the state of Amapá, in northern Brazil. It will be responsible for the modernisation, expansion and maintenance of the municipal street lighting network of Macapá for a period of 20 years, with expected investments of about 15 million euros.
This is the second public lighting services tender won by Enel X after last May’s tender for the city of Angra dos Reis, a coastal tourist centre of about 200,000 inhabitants in the State of Rio de Janeiro. This contract will have a duration of 15 years, for a total investment of approximately 3.4 million euros. The project includes the modernisation of 20 thousand LED lighting points in the town hall of Angra, as well as the installation of a control centre to monitor the system 24/7.
