PORTUGAL – Technology is beauty. A webinar on the aerospace industry, celebrating Italian Design Day
On the occasion of Italian Design Day 2020, the Italian Embassy in Lisbon is organising a webinar for 25 November at 11 a.m. (Portuguese time) entitled “Aerospace Design: Technology is Beauty”. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Design, Technology, and Communication Faculty of Lisbon’s European University – IADE, and is part of the Portuguese science and technology week – “Ciência Viva”. The webinar aims at exploring the role of Design in the aerospace industry and most recent innovations in the field of research into innovative materials and technologies. Italian and Portuguese designers and scientists will be taking part, including Annalisa Dominoni and Benedetto Quaquaro, founders of Atelier a+b, the design firm created with the intent to combine technological research with poetry and artisanal know-how. Giorgio Novello, Senior Vice President for International Relations at AVIO SpA, and the scientist Fernando Carvalho Rodrigues, who led the team that put the first Portuguese satellite into orbit, will also be present.
