Serbia – Inauguration of SIAD Group’s filling station for technical gases

Yesterday, on the occasion of the General Assembly of Confindustria Serbia, there was the inauguration of the technical gas filling station of SIAD (Società Italiana di Acetilene e Derivati) group in Bergamo. The investment, made through Slovenian-based subsidiary Istrabenz Plini Beograd, represents the most state-of-the-art and technologically advanced filling station for technical gases in the region. The filling plant for oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and argon is located in the industrial estate of Simanovci, about 35 km north-west of Belgrade, near the Nikola Tesla international airport. The investment of over EUR 20 million was possible thanks to a soft loan of EUR 7 million granted by the EBRD.

In this early stage of SIAD Group’s presence on the Serbian market, it will supply pure and ultra-pure gases to all industrial sectors, with applications in the food, automotive, chemical-pharmaceutical and metalworking sectors. In the future, the Group intends to expand in the medical supplies segment, while the ten-year development plan envisages transforming filling stations into production plants, to complete vertical integration in Serbia.
