The twelfth edition of the National SME Day, organised by Piccola Industria Confindustria in collaboration with the associations of the system, was held today. The event involved more than 400 companies that desired to be protagonists of this annual event, with 45,000 protagonists of the physical and virtual events dedicated to students and teachers of the more than 500 middle and high schools involved in the initiative.
The SMEs of Confindustria opened their doors to about 425 thousand young people who had the opportunity to look closely and touch Made in Italy companies.
The focus of SME DAY 2021 events was sustainability, a theme identified for its relevance and topicality. It is at the heart of the NRP and of the reflections that emerged from the G20 and Cop26, and of whose importance companies are aware so that young people can understand all the areas of action in the environmental, economic and social fields.
The initiative also had an international imprint with events in Serbia in collaboration with Confindustria Serbia and the United States. The Miami Scientific Italian Community (MSIC) organised a series of initiatives in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Washington and other Italian associations, thus allowing American students to come into contact with Italian companies operating in the United States.
