Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi had a telephone conversation today with the new Romanian Foreign Minister, Andrei Marga.
Minister Terzi congratulated his colleague on his appointment. He went on to underscore Italy’s intention to maintain close relations with Bucharest at both the bilateral level and within the European Union and Atlantic Alliance, and in all multilateral fora.
Minister Marga agreed with Minister Terzi on the commitment to strengthen relations between Italy and Romania at all levels. He reiterated his country’s friendship with Italy, which it values as a neighbour. Minister Terzi took this opportunity to invite his Romanian colleague to Rome.
