Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi met on the sidelines of the 67th UN General Assembly today with Prime Minister Hasmin Thaçi and Foreign Minister Enver Hoxaj of Kosovo.
Their discussions centred on Kosovo’s European prospects. Prime Minister Thaçi thanked Italy for its support for Kosovo’s integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions. Minister Terzi encouraged the Prime Minister to pursue the path of reforms involving the rule of law, public administration and justice, underscoring how the region’s stronger European integration could encourage not only economic development but also the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade that Italy is so strongly committed to supporting.
