Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi met at the foreign ministry in Rome today with Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Sayyd Badr Bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
Their discussions confirmed a common intention to build on relations between the two countries, especially in economic and business sectors. It was agreed that a joint commission would meet in the near future to encourage private and public investment contacts and opportunities, not least through “country presentations”.
They also touched on principal international concerns such as the Middle East peace process, the Syrian crisis and the Iranian nuclear question.
At the end of their meeting, Terzi and Al Busaidi signed an agreement exempting the holders of diplomatic, service and special passports from visa obligations.
