Minister for Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino is in Budapest today for a meeting with her Hungarian colleague Janos Martonyi, dedicated to an exchange of views on the work of the Group of Reflection on the Future of Europe – on the eve of the 19 July meeting in Palma de Majorca – with a view to outlining the priorities of the Italian Presidency in the second half of 2014.
Minister Bonino also had an opportunity on this visit to meet with Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid, who is also in Budapest as guest of honour of the Hungarian Conference of Ambassadors. Remarking on the climate of renewed cooperation between the two governments on the case of the two Italian marines Massimiliano Latorre and Salvatore Girone, Bonino informed her counterpart of Italy’s firm intention to pursue the goal of the two servicemen’s rapid return to Italy
