A Foreign Ministry official has met two representatives of the Lazio fans to explain the steps being taken by the Farnesina and by Minister Bonino to obtain the rapid release of the Italians arrested in Warsaw. The meeting took place in the same spirit of solidarity with the fans as Minister Bonino expressed today to the Chairman of the Lazio football team, Claudio Lotito.
The members of the “curva nord” [the northern stand in the stadium], as they term themselves, asked the Ministry to continue to follow our fellow Italians’ situation with the Polish authorities and thanked the Foreign Ministry for the attention it has devoted to the case.
