Utoya: Della Vedova says pain and shock unchanged 3 years later

Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Benedetto Della Vedova expressed “the pain and shock that remains unchanged on the third anniversary of the massacres of Oslo and Utoya” in a letter to his Norwegian colleague Baard Glad Pedersen. “I wish to extend my hearfelt solidarity to the people and government of Norway”, Della Vedova wrote, as well as to “families of the victims of the blind and tragic violence that struck your country”. The Under-Secretary made a mission in June to Oslo, where he met with Pedersen and Deputy European Affairs Minister Ingvild Naess Stub, with whom he discussed the priorities of the Italian duty presidency of the Council of the European Union along with several esential themes concerning relations between Italy and Norway.
