Soddisfazione del sottosegretario Giro per la liberazione di Giulio Brusadelli a Cuba

“Giulio Brusadelli was released yesterday in Havana. I first of all wish to thank the Cuban authorities, and especially Deputy Minister Serra, for granting our request. Brusadelli, who was arrested for drugs-related questions, has been very ill and in need of treatment for some time now. It will now be possible to have him treated in Italy. His parents are at his side. I also wish to thank Ambassador Carmine Robustelli, his staff and the offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Everyone concerned has worked very hard indeed for the success of this case. And that is what we must do every time a fellow Italian abroad is in need of help. Senator Luigi Manconi has also been a great help and support in this sensitive case: my since thanks go out to him also”.
