Farnesina: serious concern over death sentence for former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood leaders

The Farnesina expressed serious concern over the sentence of death passed on former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and other Muslim Brotherhood leaders. Recalling that Italy renounces the death penalty and is working toward a universal moratorium on capital executions, the Farnesina trusted the sentences would be reviewed and that the Egyptian judicial system would proceed in an impartial manner founded exclusively on the law.
