Wounded Libyans from Benghazi airlifted to Pratica di Mare

At approximately 6 p.m. today an Airforce C130-J aircraft equipped as an air ambulance carrying 16 wounded Libyans from Benghazi, from where it took off at 3:20 p.m., landed at the Pratica di Mare Airport. To begin with, the patients will be taken to the Celio Military Polyclinic.

This humanitarian rescue operation, which follows the flight of last 15 March, was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in conjunction with the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of the Interior and falls within the scope of Italy’s actions to support Libya’s security forces.
