Meeting at the Farnesina with the with the families of the three missing Italian nationals in Mexico

The Farnesina hosted today yet another meeting between the Director General for Italians abroad, Luigi Maria Vignali, and the families of the three Italian citizens who have been missing in Mexico since 31 January.

The Russo and the Cimmino family members were informed about the latest steps taken, and the meetings that have been held with Mexico’s high level political, judiciary and police representatives. It was conveyed once more to the Mexican interlocutors that the Italian Government pays priority attention to the event. The urgency to provide the families concerned with detailed information was stressed, thus requesting that local Authorities confirm their full commitment to solve the case as soon as possible.

Today’s meeting followed the recent mission of the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs to Mexico, the conversation held on 28 February by Angelino Alfano, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with his Mexican colleague, and the previous meeting at the Farnesina on 6 March with the families of the missing nationals.
