The Foreign Ministry acts to protect displaced persons and refugees in Libya with a 2-million-euro financing to the UNHCR

In consideration of the situation in Libya and of the risks to which the civilian population, the refugees and the migrants are exposed, the Foreign Ministry has arranged a two-million-euro financing to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) from its Africa Fund to provide assistance to displaced persons and refugees in Libya.

The project to be implemented in Libya aims to distribute relief supplies to approximately 20,000 displaced families, provide assistance to 750 refugee families, and expedite up to 17 quick impact projects benefiting 8,500 people.
