The Ambassador of Turkey to Italy convened at the Farnesina

Following the Turkish military initiatives in North- Eastern Syria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Luigi Di Maio issued an invitation to the Farnesina for the Turkish Ambassador to Italy.
In asserting the importance of putting all unilateral actions on hold, Italy confirms that the only possible way towards a lasting solution to the Syrian crisis is the political process currently under way under the auspices of the United Nations.​
