The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues its commitment to the repatriation of Italian citizens stranded abroad: today more than 730 Italians have returned, for a total of about 86,000.

The work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues, thanks to the incessant commitment of the Crisis Unit and the Embassies and Consulates abroad, for the safe return of Italians. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 emergency, the Ministry has coordinated the repatriation of almost 86,000 Italians from 119 countries, through about 870 air, sea, and land operations.

Today alone, the special flights organized allowed over 730 Italian citizens to return home from the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Malta, but also Georgia, Russia, Morocco, Colombia, and Mauritania. For the first time, thanks to the work of the Embassy in Pristina, a flight also left from Kosovo to Italy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to work tirelessly, thanks to the efforts of its Embassies and Consulates around the world, to allow all compatriots still stranded abroad to return to Italy in complete safety.
