Mr Di Stefano at the INDICAM e-forum to support Made in Italy

Undersecretary Manlio Di Stefano spoke today at the e-forum INDICAM, the Central Institute for the fight against counterfeiting, presenting the role of Made in Italy to relaunch the Country System.

“In the Pact for Export,” the Undersecretary started off, “there is much of what associations like yours have asked the State for, that is a concrete commitment to protect intellectual property”.

“First of all,” the Undersecretary continued, “in order to strengthen technical skills, we are considering the inclusion of specific professional figures in the two main intellectual property regulations, namely Geneva (headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization -WIPO, and the World Trade Organization -WTO) and Brussels (with the European Commission)”.

“We are strongly convinced,” the Undersecretary concluded, “that the extraordinary communication campaign for Made in Italy is the most immediate response to protect intellectual property, precisely because it aims to develop consumer awareness of the Italian product that is the most direct tool for the fight against counterfeiting.
