The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, met today at the Foreign Ministry the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Telecommunications of the Republic of San Marino, Luca Beccari.
During the meeting, which took place on the eve of the official visit to Rome of the Captains Regent of San Marino, Minister Di Maio stressed the progress made over the last year and the importance of maintaining a regular and structured dialogue, in order to further strengthen bilateral relations, based on the deep historical, cultural and geographical ties between the two countries. To this end, a Memorandum of Understanding on enhanced cooperation and consultation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest was signed at the end of the meeting.
Finally, the Foreign Minister confirmed Italy’s support for a successful conclusion of the Association Agreement between San Marino and the European Union.
