The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, met today, on the occasion of the Rome-Med Dialogues, with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.
The Ministers took stock of bilateral relations – including an exchange on the respective measures adopted to prevent COVID infections – also in view of the forthcoming meeting of the Ministerial Coordinating Committee between Italy and Croatia.
The Ministers then examined the opportunities offered by Trilateral Cooperation, an operational forum in which Slovenia also participates, in terms of the development of the Northern Adriatic as a pole of economic growth.
The Croatian Minister also discussed the situation in Bosnia Herzegovina and, more generally, the latest developments in the Western Balkans, a region that Italy firmly supports on its path to membership of the European Union.
