Today, on the occasion of the Rome-Med Dialogues, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, had a meeting with the Portuguese Foreign Minister, Augusto Santos Silva.
The Ministers agreed on the need to maintain close coordination at the European level, in view of the reforms of the Stability Pact and the attainment of the goals of energy transition and climate neutrality.
Both Ministers emphasized the opportunities for Italian businesses to invest in Portugal, particularly in the sectors of the new technologies and renewable energy, thanks also to the resources made available by the respective National Recovery and Resilience Plans.
Ministers Di Maio and Santos Silva also discussed their mutual commitment in Africa, in particular with regard to the European Union Training Mission in Mozambique.
