Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni, attended today the extraordinary meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs, held via video teleconferencing.
The meeting focused on the tensions along the Russian-Ukrainian border and on the prospects for resuming talks with Russia, ahead of the NATO-Russia Council, scheduled for next week.
Taking the floor, Deputy Minister Sereni once again reminded the Allies that NATO needs to adopt a balanced approach, being both firm and open to dialogue, in order to favour a de-escalation of tension between Russia and Ukraine and to ensure security in the Euro-Atlantic region.
