The Farnesina expresses deep satisfaction for Italy’s re-election in Montreal to the First Category of the Executive Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the 2023-2025 three-year period during the XLI Assembly of the organization, a United Nations agency tasked with promoting the development and safety of air transport.
The re-election of Italy, an uninterrupted member of the Executive Council since the establishment of ICAO, confirms the credibility that Italy enjoys in the civil aviation sector and testifies to the particular contribution that Italy makes to the sustainable development of air transport and environmental protection.
Italy was re-elected with very broad consensus to the Executive Council along with other European countries: Austria, France, Germany, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Romania, and Spain.
